Overview

The Tech 4 Good Challenge, an annual event in Malaysia, represents a collaborative effort between prominent local technology firm, ViTrox Technologies, and academia, notably UTAR FICT (University Tunku Abdul Rahman, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology). Launched to stimulate innovation among Malaysian secondary and tertiary students, this competition serves as a national platform for budding inventors to showcase their prowess in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Tech 4 Good Challenge unfolds in 2 stages, commencing with a qualifying round and culminating in a grand finale held at ViTrox Campus 2.0 in Penang Batu Kawan. The competition is structured into two categories which are secondary school (Category 1) and tertiary (Category 2). There are 3 major categories for all interested students to unleash their unique creativity, namely (1) Well-being, (2) Agriculture, and (3) Environment. Entrants are tasked with developing inventive solutions to contemporary challenges within these domains. Notably, participants will also benefit from Coaching Session and Technical Workshops during the prototype development phase.
